Litter Pick Success
Holt Town Council and the Eco Church joined forces for a community litter pick this week. It was great to see such a good turn out and even better to see 35 bags of litter collected at the end. Well done to all involved. 
HTC Consultation Launched
Holt Town Council are developing a Business Plan and would like your help in shaping this important document, as such the Town Council have launched a short consultation on what projects/initiatives are important to residents.

The consultation deadline is Tuesday 3rd May 2022.
Results will be shared at the Annual Town Meeting on Thursday 5th May at 6pm at The Venue on Kerridge Way.

The Holt Town Council Honours Scheme aims to recognise significant achievement by an individual, or group within the community.

If you know someone, a group or organisation, who you feel should be considered for an honour, please complete an application form below and available return to the Town Council Offices by noon on Thursday 21st April 2022
The successful recipient or recipients will be invited to receive their honours at the Annual Towns Meeting to be held on Thursday 5th May 2022 at The Venue.
Cemetery Inspections
Holt Town Council will be carrying out an inspection of the cemetery next month. We are aware that a number of unauthorised items are appearing on gravestones. We encourage families and friends of those buried at the cemetery to familiarise themselves with the Cemeteries Rules and Regulations which is available below;

The cemetery is an area of open public space, as such, the Town Council is responsible for the safety of members of the public and council staff who maintain the grounds.
Unauthorised items such as glass vases, ornaments and lanterns and any object which emits light, sound or movement will be removed and stored for collection. Items not collected after 12 months will be disposed of.
The Town Council understand the importance of being able to place commemorative items on gravestones and would like to work with relatives to find a safe solution. Therefore, if you have any questions or concerns regarding the forthcoming inspections, please do get in contact with the Town Clerk to discuss possible options.
Spout Hills and Little Hills Closed due to High Winds (Now Open)
UPDATED NOW OPEN
The Town Council have closed Spout Hills and Little Hills this afternoon due to the heavy winds expected overnight and tomorrow. The Met Office have issued an amber weather warning meaning uprooted trees and flying debris is possible. A full safety inspection of both sites will take place first thing on Monday 21st February and both sites will be re-opened if deemed safe to do so.
