NEIGHBOURHOOD PLAN SUCCESS!
The Holt Neighbourhood Plan Referendum has taken place with 80% (of votes received) voting in support of the Plan. This Plan will now form planning policy and will be taken into consideration by NNDC when determining planning applications in Holt.
EXAMINATION
The Inspector who has been appointed to examine the Holt Neighbourhood Plan has written a final report which can be viewed below.

…and has been busy considering and drafting policies for the Neighbourhood Plan. This work forms the ‘Pre-Submission’ draft Holt Neighbourhood Plan, which will be going out for a statutory 6-week consultation.
Mission and Objectives of the Neighbourhood Plan
Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group
The Steering Group plays an important role in overseeing the development of the Holt Neighbourhood Plan. It meets on a regular basis in Holt and it’s meeting are open for all to attend and observe. The Steering Group comprises twelve members including Town Council Members, the Town Council Clerk and residents representing a cross-section of the community.
What is a Neighbourhood Plan?
Neighbourhood Plans were introduced by the Localism Act 2011, with the intention of enabling communities to play a much stronger role in shaping the area in which they live and work. They provide the framework for communities to set out a positive vision for how they want their community to develop over the next twenty years in ways that meet identified local need and make sense for local people. Neighbourhood Area
This is the area covered by the Holt Neighbourhood Plan. The Neighbourhood Area was designated on 2 December 2013 and covers the entire Parish of Holt (indicated by red outline on map).
