I worked for the Post Office, on the counters side, for 28 years starting at Cromer Head Office before moving to Sheringham and then to Holt. I then moved to Head Office in Norwich as Efficiency Manager before taking redundancy following re-organisation.

A year or two later I started the Holt Chronicle with my business partner Caroline Carter, which we ran until 2019.

I was born in Sharrington and have lived all my life very close to Holt, moving here in 1980.

I have been, and still am, involved in many organisations in the town. During the late sixties and the seventies, I was heavily involved with the Youth Club in the town. I am vice-Chairman of Holt Playing Fields Association and a past Chairman having been a member of the committee for more than fifty years. I am a committee member of Holt Sports and Social Club, a life member, and past Chairman, of Holt United Football Club and a member of Holt and Neighbourhood Housing Society.
