Notice of Vacancy Holt February 2024

Lovells will shortly be transferring the Heath Farm Allotment site over to Holt Town Council. There are 10 allotment plots, each plot has its own shed. The allotments have been provided by Lovells through S106 contributions and as such are available to any resident living in Holt. There will be huge demand for the plots, therefore the fairest way to allocate plots will be via random selection through a draw.

We are giving all residents the opportunity to register for the draw up until 29th February 2024. To register please send your name, address and telephone number to info@holttowncouncil.org or via post to Nelson House, 2 White Lion Street, Holt, NR25 6BA. You will receive a confirmation that you have been successfully registered.

The draw will take place at the Holt Town Council Meeting on Monday 11th March 2024 at 7pm at the Club Room at  The Holt Playing Fields Association.

Holt Town Council temporarily secured 3 additional car parking bays on Church Street. The bays were linked to the works taking place on Star Plain and provided alternative car parking during the works. Unfortunately the works have not been completed within the time frame expected and the Temporary Order for the bays has now expired. We were lucky enough to be able to extend the order last summer to January 2024, however we have been advised that no further extensions can be granted, and as such the bays will now be removed.

The Annual Remembrance Sunday Parade will be taking place this Sunday at approximately 10.45am , then a gathering will take place around the War Memorial and wreaths will be laid. An Order of Service will be available on the day, everyone is welcome to join the open air service and remember those we lost.

The Tourist Information has now closed for the season and will re-open again on Monday 25th March 2023. HTC would like to thank all the volunteers for their time and hard work which has made 2023 such a successful season. If you would like to volunteer for a couple of hours in the Tourist Information Centre next year then please contact the Town Clerk.
